Privacy policy

Last updated: August 16, 2026
Effective date: August 16, 2026

This policy explains what information Twiga Coffee collects when you visit twigacoffee.com or buy from us, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what choices you have.

Twiga Coffee is operated by Greedy Bites, Inc. dba Twiga Coffee. In this policy, "we", "us" and "Twiga" mean that company.

We do not sell your personal information.

Information you give us

When you buy something, create an account, start a subscription, sign up for our newsletter, write a review, join our rewards or affiliate programs, or contact us, you may give us:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number, if you provide one
  • Your shipping and billing addresses
  • The contents of messages you send us
  • Review content and any name you choose to display with it

Order and payment information

When you place an order we receive your order details, your shipping and billing addresses, and confirmation that your payment succeeded.

We do not receive or store your full card number. Payment information is handled by our ecommerce platform and our payment providers, which include Shopify Payments, PayPal, Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Your card details go to them and are governed by their own privacy policies.

Account and subscription information

If you create an account, we keep your account details and order history. If you start a subscription, we keep your subscription details, including the products, the delivery frequency and the schedule. The payment method used for your renewals is stored securely by our ecommerce platform and payment providers so that future deliveries can be charged.

Device and usage information

When you visit our site we automatically collect technical information, including your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the site or advertisement that referred you, and the dates and times of your visits. We use this to keep the site working, to understand what is useful, and to detect fraud and abuse.

Cookies and similar technologies

We and our service providers use cookies, pixels and similar technologies to run the store, remember your cart and preferences, measure how the site is used, and measure and target advertising.

These fall into four groups:

  • Necessary. Required for the site to work, including your cart, checkout and sign in. These cannot be turned off.
  • Analytics. Help us understand how people use the site, so we can improve it.
  • Marketing and advertising. Let us measure our advertising and show you Twiga ads on other sites and apps.
  • Preferences. Remember choices you have made, such as your region or language.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. If you block necessary cookies, parts of the site will not work.

Advertising

We advertise Twiga Coffee on other platforms. To do that, our advertising partners set cookies and pixels on our site that let them measure our ads and show you Twiga ads elsewhere. This means those partners receive information about your visit, including your IP address and the pages and products you viewed.

You can limit interest-based advertising directly with those platforms and through industry tools:

Opting out through these tools is specific to the browser or device you use it on.

Do Not Track

Our site does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals, because no common standard for them has been agreed. The choices described above are available to you instead.

Who we share information with

We share personal information only with companies that help us run Twiga Coffee, and only for that purpose. They are not permitted to use it for their own purposes except as described under Advertising above. These include:

  • Our ecommerce platform, which hosts our store, processes orders and sends order emails
  • Payment providers, which process payments
  • Fulfillment and shipping partners, including our print partner for apparel and the carriers that deliver your order
  • Our subscription provider, which manages recurring orders
  • Our email and messaging provider, which sends our marketing and service emails
  • Analytics and advertising providers, as described above
  • Reviews, rewards and affiliate providers, which run those specific features

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to respond to a lawful request, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a sale or transfer of our business. If that last one ever happens, we will say so here.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own direct marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information for as long as we reasonably need it, which depends on the type of information and why we hold it.

Order, transaction, account and subscription records are kept while your account or subscription is active and for a further period afterwards, so that we can handle returns, refunds, warranty and quality questions, resolve disputes and chargebacks, detect and prevent fraud, and meet our tax, accounting, audit and other legal obligations. That means we may still hold records about you after you close an account or cancel a subscription.

Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them. Website analytics information is kept for a limited period set by our analytics provider.

When we no longer need personal information, we delete it or remove the details that identify you.

How we protect it

Our store runs over an encrypted connection, and payments are handled by providers that meet the payment card industry's security standards. We limit access to personal information to people who need it to do their job. No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
